Results of Long Form Population Census 2020 Karawang Regency

The 2020 Population Census (SP2020) is Indonesia's effort towards one population data. SP2020 is the seventh population census held in Indonesia. The implementation of SP2020 uses a combination method, namely through the use of population administration data from the Ministry of Home Affairs as basic data. The series of SP2020 activities are carried out in two stages. The first stage is population data collection using short forms and other instruments that have been carried out in 2020. The next stage of data collection is in the form of a sample census as a continuation of the population census using a questionnaire that contains more and more complex questions which is referred to as the SP2020 Long Form Data Collection. The SP2020 Long Form data collection was originally to be implemented in 2021, but the Covid-19 pandemic shifted its implementation to 2022. The SP2020 Long Form Data Collection is carried out to obtain demographic parameters and other population characteristics, such as education, disability, and housing by collecting more complete data not only related to demographic parameters, but also related to education, disability, employment, and housing. The SP2020 Long Form data collection was carried out only on a sample of selected households and the implementation was divided into two stages. The first stage is updating and the second stage is data collection. Updating was carried out in the period May 15-31, 2022 for all households living in selected census blocks spread across 27 districts/cities in West Java. After updating, a sample of 16 households was taken, and then data collection with a complete questionnaire (CAPI) was carried out on these 16 sample households in the period June 1-30, 2022. The objectives of the SP2020 Long Form data collection include:1. Obtaining data for calculating demographic parameters (births, deaths, and migration).2. Source data from the Maternal Mortality Rate indicator.3. Update data to be used in the calculation of population projections.4. Provide data on population and housing characteristics.5. Source data from population indicators for SDGs that cannot be obtained from other sources
